Tango del Cielo
The Passionate music of Tango meets the ethereal romance of the harp in "Tango del Cielo"; a creative blend of Argentine Tango, Spanish Flamenco, and Smooth Latin Jazz Leading you through the tight turns, dips and smokey cafes of Argentina, concert harpist Anna Maria Mendieta's exciting concert is a fresh and innovative presentation of the passionate and sensuous music of the Argentine Tango. Bringing together for the first time in tango history: harp, string quartet, percussion and dance -- we invite you to experience this wholly captivating and rhythmically intoxicating music in a way never before presented!
Special music arranged and composed by Grammy Award winner Pablo Ziegler, and world-renowned Piazolla expert Daniel Binelli. Musical contributions by Grammy nominees Jovino Santos Neto, and violinist and composer Jeremy Cohen of Quartet San Francisco (recent recipents of a Grammy nomination).
