The International String Trio is a group of exceptionally talented musicians who play a variety of Gypsy jazz, Appalachian folk, acoustic world music (Irish, Klezmer, Russian, Bluegrass, French, Italian, etc.) virtuostic classical arrangements, and popular songs from movie tracks. The trio are Slava Tolstoy on guitar, Ippei Ichimaru on bass and Ben Powell on violin.
The International String Trio has developed a unique concert program that is both highly entertaining and educational, energetic and musically gratifying. During the last 10 years the group has performed at more than 1000 venues across the USA.
